We are pleased to announce that the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Brussels now introduces online registry of the following applications:
- visitors visa - residence permit - au-pair
- family reunion - work permit
On the new Application Portal Norway either the applicant or the reference in Norway can register the application online.

Please note that priority is given to applications submitted online. |
For the moment, an application for “Bibehold”, or the retaining of your Norwegian citizenship, cannot be applied for online. A paper application must be submitted, as before, for this type of application.
How to get started and what to do?
1. Please register your online application at the Application Portal Norway: https://selfservice.udi.no/
2. Secondly, please refer to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigrations (UDI) webpage for detailed information regarding which supporting documents to bring: www.udi.no. Please note that all applicants, irrespective of online registration and booked appointments, must provide full supporting documents for their applications. Applicants, who fail to provide the necessary supporting documents, will kindly be asked to return at a later date.
3. After you have submitted the online application and provided all the supporting documents, we will be pleased to welcome you to the Consulate at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Brussels to submit the necessary supporting documents, and provide biometric data if necessary.
| We would also like to bring your attention to the fact that all the abovementioned application types are included in our new electronic case processing system. The processing time is expected to be somewhat shorter for electronic cases. |
